- Hybrid: 3 days in clinic and 2 days remote
- Salaried and fee-for-service models available

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide counselling services to clients referred privately, by employers, by various insurance companies, and other third-party organizations to address psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.
- Adopt a goal-focused, therapeutic approach for alleviating distress and improving social and occupational functioning.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients’ treatment plan and goals, the progress made to date, and any barriers to treatment.
- Delivery quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.

**Population treated will be adults, coming from various third party insurers and programs such as**:

- Traumatic Psychological Injury (TPI)
- Motor Vehicle Accident Victims (MVA)
- Long Term Disability (LTD)
- Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS)

**Licensing**:

- Fully licensed as an RCT with the Nova Scotia College of Registered Counselling Therapists

OR
- Social Worker registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers as an autonomous practitioner in good standing (Must have a Masters of Social Work)

**Experience**
- Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with a variety of adult clients.
- Have clinical knowledge in the areas of grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues.
- Knowledge of psychological management of chronic pain and concussive syndrome an asset.
- Training and experience with cognitive behavioural therapy approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, CPT).
- Experience working as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team.
- Experience preparing assessment, progress and discharge reports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, solid judgement, and integrity.
