Art Studio Technician

STUDIO TECHNICIAN - Full Time (36 hours/week)

The Studio Technician is an essential member of a small full-time staff who oversee the global operations of the DCA.

This position is ideal for anyone with a passion for the arts looking to acquire experience in organizational strategy, technical and logístical support and creative problem solving in regards to innovative art classes and cultural events.

GENERAL TASKS:

- Maintain an ongoing and updated equipment and materials inventory.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, disposal and acquisition.
- Liaise with service providers and partners concerning technical needs and provide support when needed.

ONLINE PROGRAMMING:

- Set-up and strike all equipment required for online and hybrid classes.
- Monitor classes and provide on the spot technical support.

ART GALLERY:

- Assist curator and guest artists with hangings.
- Provide technical coordination for live events.

KILN ROOM:

- Oversee clay management (recycling, drying, prep).
- Coordinate with teaching staff.

Full time position: 36 hours/week

Compensation: $18/hour
