Purchasing Manager

Qualified purchasers have to be competent in their responsibility for negotiating with suppliers and sellers of the assorted products and services that our organization needs. They also need to coordinate the logistics of having them delivered and paid for. They need to understand trends and recognize when new products/suppliers are required. Knowledge of spreadsheets (excel) and computer skills are very important.
Their duties include the following:
- Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logístical expenses.
- Assessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits from the vendor, interviews and analysis to assess their quality.
- Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests.
- Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit their company.
- Coordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services.
- Authorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping.
- Managing paperwork for material returns to our suppliers.
- Forecasting product needs based on current market conditions and history.
- Yearly inventory count - preparing for, analysis, and reconciliation.
- Managing purchase orders for details like quantities, back orders, delivery date, and proper pricing.
- Physically manage the inventory and maximize turns.

**Wage posted as $50,000/year, this will go up depending on experience and fit.**
