**Responsibilities**:

- Interpreting and typing prescriptions. Collecting pertinent information and entering it onto the patient file. Ie. Allergies, insurance.
- Counting, labeling and blister packing patient medication, including verifying DINs and checking expiry dates.
- Answering phones (answering customer questions, processing refill requests).
- Inventory checking (verifying orders and putting away stock as it comes in checking expiry dates and discounting or removing where necessary).
- Filing as required.
- General cashier duties, helping patients locate products in the front store, getting the pharmacist for any recommendations or consultations.

**Qualifications**:

- Completed Pharmacy Assistant course or equivalent experience.
- Fast learner.
- Reliable.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Be able to work as part of a team and without constant supervision.
- Experience with low income or homeless is beneficial as that encompasses a lot of our patient base.
- Excellent customer service.

Wage is based upon experience. 12 to 24 hours per week.

**Pharmacy hours are**:

- Monday - Friday 8:00-6:00 (shifts may start as early as 7:00).
- Saturdays 9:00-6:00.
- Sunday 9:00-4:00.
- Closing tasks may result in an additional 15-30 minutes after your scheduled shift.
