Reporting to the Engineering Manager,

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Provides general maintenance support such as painting, renovations, repairs to interior/exterior, guest rooms, public areas and service area(s), minor drywall repairs
- Performs trouble shooting, reporting items of concerns to the appropriate party for action
- Assists with preventative maintenance and completes work orders as needed
- Responds to guest/associate maintenance calls in timely and professional manner
- Assists in pool maintenance, mechanical room and boiler room equipment
- Monitors all equipment in hotel to ensure it is operating properly
- Supervise maintenance contractors while on-site
- Follows the preventative maintenance plan according to schedule
- Ensure adherence to and awareness of Occupational Health and Safety standards
- Other duties as may be assigned

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have at least two (2) years general mechanical/maintenance experience
- Secondary/post-secondary training preferred
- Must have knowledge with HVAC trouble shooting
- Must have knowledge with plumbing, electrical
- Must be familiar with mechanical tools and equipment
- Must have experience with boilers, generators and fire alarm systems
- Thorough and detailed oriented, demonstrated pattern of good attendance
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills
- Working at heights certification is an asset
- Must be flexible with shift availability: mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
