**POSITION OVERVIEW**
Are you passionate about plants and enjoy sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm with others? Reporting to the Nursery Manager, this position is primarily responsible for the purchasing and merchandising of our annual vegetable, herbs and perennial plants. You will work directly with the Nursery Manager to ensure well-informed purchasing decisions and execution of marketing plans and assist with directing day-to-day activities of the Nursery Division.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Motivate and direct team members working in annual and perennial areas.
- Drive division performance through maximizing sales and providing superior customer service.
- Complete weekly buying of annuals and perennials, ensure appropriate stock levels
- Work with Greenhouse Production to ensure Dinter Grown plants are integrated into displays and taken into account when making purchasing decisions
- Ensure product receiving, pricing and placing process is correctly executed
- Create inspiring displays, ensure areas are well organized with clear signage.
- Select plants for our weekly marketing program, participate in marketing planning
- Ensure all plants in retail area meet our quality standards

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience leading teams of 5+, preferably in a horticultural or agricultural setting
- Strong computer skills, specifically experience with Excel and spreadsheets
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Must be able to work full time (5 days / 40 hours per week).
- Weekend availability (one weekend day required).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
