As the Leader of Asphalt & Aggregates reporting to the Manager of Construction and Materials within the Mobility Business Unit, you will manage our mining, crushing and asphalt operations. You will manage a team responsible for manufacturing asphalt and aggregate products for internal and external customers. Primary duties include:

- Provide inclusive leadership and technical expertise to plant operators and field staff through respectful coaching and mentoring.
- Manage the planning, coordination and monitoring of daily production activities to meet project schedules and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
- Ensure quality control procedures are implemented to ensure finished products meet specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of the asphalt and crusher plants and oversee the maintenance of the plant equipment and machinery.
- Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures, production reports, safety documentation and cultivate a culture committed to health and safety.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other Business Units on the production and distribution of asphalt and aggregate products.
- Lead the continuous improvement and operational efficiencies for the asphalt and crusher plants.
- Develop and implement a plan to produce more recycled and environmentally sustainable products.
- Liase with internal and external customers to ensure service delivery excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative and professional standards.

**Qualifications**
- A completed 2 year diploma in Civil Engineering, construction management or a related field.
- At least 10 years relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of experience leading and supervising a team is required.
- Experience in asphalt and crusher plants operations.
- In-depth knowledge of asphalt plant procedures, crushing plant procedures, equipment, and OHS guidelines.
- Demonstrated success supervising teams in a complex, multi-union environment.
- Success in this position requires strong communication and organizational skills, financial acumen, ability to work effectively under pressure and solve problems.
