**Overview**

**Duties**
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in the planning of menus and meal preparation schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when restocking is necessary.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality food presentation.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.
- Help maintain a positive work environment by communicating effectively with team members.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to assist others in the kitchen as needed.
- A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to continually improve cooking skills.
