Part Time Embroidery Machine Operator

Union Sports Sales - St. Thomas Ontario

Position Start Date TBD

As Embroidery Machine Operator, you will play an integral part in preparing garments and setting up the embroidery machine to complete orders to customer specifications.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work on your feet for the full shift. Some lifting required. Ability to self manage and maintain the production schedule to ensure deadlines are met
- High attention to detail
- You have a positive attitude, are reliable, and have a good work ethic.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operating and monitoring the embroidery machine during production, including setup, changing needles and re-threading when necessary
- Preparing garments for embroidery such as hooping, steaming
- Understand the digital embroidery process
- Operate a commercial embroidery machine (Tajima) using specialized software, with the ability to manipulate designs when needed
- Perform daily machine maintenance and light troubleshooting when required
- Once embroidery is finished, perform quality control including trimming backing on finished products and keep a log of issues and defects
- Maintain embroidery supplies such as threads, needles and report when supplies are low.

Additional Responsibility - Assist occasionally with customer service and answering telephone calls as needed. Processing transactions during the customer pick up process.

Adhere to all standard operating procedures and meet expected production goals
- Perform other duties as assigned by the company and/or supervisor

**Job Types**: Part Time

Schedule: Shifts will be 830am-3pm with occasional overtime and occasional weekends based on business needs. Weekly shift schedule could vary but will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday for the most part.

Compensation - $16.00 per hour
