**What you'll do**
The Analyst - Product Strategy & Development is responsible for providing analytical support to all strategic and tactical activities conducted by the Product Strategy & Development team. The incumbent must think creatively about product strategy and skilled in the research and analysis required to explore challenging questions and scenarios. The Product Strategy Analyst will leverage their unique experience to develop data-driven insights that will enable the Product Strategy & Development team to deliver innovative recommendations for new products, partnerships and acquisitions.

Key accountabilities include:

- Leads on the research, analysis and synthesis of industry trends, market positioning or competitive activity to form recommendations and understand impact on the business
- Takes the lead on performing financial/data analysis and evaluate the hypotheses/trends concerning market segments, geographies, products, etc.;
- Collaborates with team members to develop Moneris’ product strategy as it relates to build, partner or buy decisions, represent the team on cross-functional work, identify issues, escalate as required, and recommend solutions to keep priorities on track
- Supports strategy discussions across the assigned key business units and with strategy groups across the organization
- Demonstrate creativity and having strong heuristics around the payments business
- Manage, solicit and obtain feedback from clients, sales, partners and other channels, working with the broader team to drive both short
- and long-term solution roadmaps

**What you bring**

**Must-have experience, knowledge, skills & abilities**
- University Degree in business, finance, economics or equivalent is required
- Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution
- 3-5 years of experience in a strategy function (or equivalent) within large corporation
- Previous experience in the fintech or payments industry considered a strong asset
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Extensive experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Understanding of storyboarding and building business cases and executive level presentations to support acquisition initiatives
- Experience with market intelligence research
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal). Bilingualism is a strong asset
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business strategies as well as to interpret and present results to audiences in a professional manner
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Solution oriented with a focus on innovative and creative methods to problem solving and gain trust quickly with external prospects to keep the process moving forward

**Who you'll work with**

Our Product and Partnership team consists of four functions; Client Solutions and Integrations, Product Operational Support, Partners, and Strategy and Corporate Development. We are responsible for the ongoing evolution of Moneris' product portfolio and lead the strategy and development of merchant payment solutions. We ensure to always keep up to date on emerging trends in the market and jump on opportunities to provide our merchants with the best enhancements to make their businesses thrive.
