**Job description**
We seek a qualified and motivated individual to work in a hybrid role of study coordination and scientific writing to advance the PI’s research program in the areas of gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel diseases, and colorectal cancer. The applicant will work under 1-2 supervisors in the Division of Gastroenterology at The Ottawa Hospital to help grow their research programs. Tasks will include those relating to study conduct (patient recruitment, data capture, REB/contracts, overall study coordination) and scientific process (grant and manuscript writing, basic data analysis), and may include supervision of junior research staff and students. This position has the potential for long-term growth and is ideally suited to an individual who is committed to research excellence and enjoys both scientific and coordination tasks.
**Basic Requirements (Education/Experience)**:
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science discipline (biology, biochemistry, physiology, kinesiology, etc.)
- 3 years of experience in a clinical research environment with supervisory responsibilities
- High proficiency in English and scientific writing with a demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Master’s degree in clinical research methods (epidemiology, public health, etc.)
- Ph.D. in a clinical research-related discipline
- 2+ years of experience as a clinical research coordinator
**Contract Details**:
This is a 1-year full-time or part-time contract with the possibility of renewal.
