P6 Scheduler

Sylvan, Inc. is a market-leading, trusted automotive service contractor to Fortune 500 companies.

The P6 Scheduler - will be responsible for scheduling and sequencing the project. He/she will work closely with the project manager the ensure timely deliveries to our customer.

**Responsibilities**:
The list below is meant to be a guide and not all inclusive of the daily responsibilities.
- Update and maintain project schedules in P6
- This individual is expected to have a strong understanding of P6 scheduling software. This position does not require a lot of field experience
- Identifies major milestones, critical approvals, and long lead procurement items.
- Determines reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with owners and/or teams.
- Assists with development of the construction three-week look-ahead schedule(s) with manpower loading, incorporating construction strategy input
- Develops and maintains spreadsheets for various phases of construction projects
- Communicates schedule status to management regularly
- Interact with engineering discipline leads & construction managers to understand issues and conflicts impacting schedule
- Suggests corrective actions and/or develops recovery plans when delays are anticipated or occur.
- Evaluates critical and near critical path activity sequences.

**Qualifications and Competencies**
- 5+ years of scheduling experience on industrial construction and maintenance projects. This position does not require a senior level scheduler.
- Experience in industrial construction and/or Turnarounds/Outages.
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method concepts
- Proficiency in Primavera (P6)
- Earned Value Management
- Demonstrate ability to communicate verbally effectively and professionally and in writing ensuring tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of responsibilities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Ability to efficiently source all requisitioned materials.
- Must be able to multitask, work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
