The University’s principles and actions and its Integrated Action Plan, Changing the Story, are underpinned by respect for the dignity, rights, and full participation of all those who live, work, and learn within the university. **Position** **Duties** Teach eight class sections in History per academic year, in person. These will normally include pre - and post-Confederation Canadian and pre - and post-1870 Indigenous history surveys. Courses will usually be taught across Fall and Winter and one of Spring or Summer semesters. There is also the possibility to contribute to the graduate program in History. **Minimum Qualifications** - A PhD in Canadian or Indigenous History or a related field. - A minimum of three years of post-secondary teaching in Canadian and Indigenous history. - Active engagement in teaching practice and scholarship in the field. **Preferred Qualifications** - Demonstrated ability to teach or experience teaching in areas of disability studies, history of medicine, or the history of gender and sexuality. - Excellence in the design and development of instructional and curriculum materials. - Record of welcoming a diverse student body into the classroom, and of managing a classroom with students of different backgrounds and proficiency levels. **How to** - _ Cover letter_ describing your fit for the above qualifications (2 pages max, attach under "**Cover Letter**") - _ Curriculum vitae_ that includes the names of three referees (CV, attach under "**CV**") We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those individuals selected for an interview will be contacted.
