Barber Collins Security is looking for an extremely dependable and reliable Security guard to work day shift every weekend at a client location in Cambridge.

Shifts - Every weekend

Saturday 8am to 6pm

Sunday 8am to 4:00pm

**Responsibilities**:

- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control access at Gate Entrance
- Monitor video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Access control for the facility/area.
- Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
- Check Fence line and truck yard every 2 hours for attempted break ins or thefts.
- Check and record Refrigerated trailer temperatures and fuel levels every 2 hours and report issues to Management

**Skills**:

- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- ability to do walking patrols.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record-keeping, report writing, observation skills.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 18 per week

**Salary**: $18.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every Weekend

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cambridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
