We are looking for experienced forklift drivers / material handlers to work in the Shipping and Receiving department.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Forklift operations:

- Work with customers (truck drivers) to ensure all product ordered is safely loaded onto truck, may be required to answer general questions about product
- Act as the last line of defense in the quality control process by ensuring finished skids is packaged and tagged properly
- May inspect transfers of product (coming into the yard) for damage caused during the transportation process and report to supervisor
- Responsible for preparing picks (special orders for customers)
- On a daily basis work collaboratively with Customer Service department on orders
- Maintain housekeeping in shipping area and yard
- Participate in company inventory process and control (e.g. cycle counts, seasonal count, raw material count, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned

**Abilities**:

- Must be comfortable with walking, climbing, standing and lifting (physically strenuous); must be able to lift up 50 pounds without assistance
- Willingness to complete a variety of work assignments
- Must be a champion of safety practices and adhere to all safety protocols and workplace policies
- Must be able to memorize lot lay-out and product information very quickly

**Requirements**:

- Must have prior 1 to 2 years of experience operating sitdown electric/propane forklifts
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience loading trucks is considered an asset
- Available to work extended shifts when required (overtime)
- Must be computer literate: experience with scanners and software will be an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $20.25 per hour
