Reporting to the Regional Manager, People & Culture, this role will work with Corporate functions, people leaders and team members to help drive strategic initiatives and objectives through the alignment of robust talent management and people and culture practices to acquire, retain, develop and inspire high performance and elevate employee experience.

**Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
Operationalizes people and culture plans that support the delivery of the People & Culture strategy in alignment with our business plan and departmental business needs
- Participate in planning meetings to gain awareness and understanding of goals and objectives pertaining to talent acquisition, talent development, workforce planning, organization design, change management, the people agenda and core HR business policies and practices.
- Implements P & C related initiatives that deliver the global People

**Strategy as assigned within the business**
- Working with functional and department leaders, completes a review of people capabilities required to achieve business objectives identifying capability gaps and recommending talent attraction, internal development and training solutions.
- Coaches and provides feedback to people leaders and their teams as required to enhance overall performance

**Facilitates the acquisition, development and performance of quality talent that will drive present and future business needs**
- Ensures competitive compensation through market knowledge while maintaining internal equity
- Work with hiring managers to build a robust 90 day onboarding plan for new hires ensuring successful integration with HPS culture and processes
- Facilitates the development of high potential and other talent across the functions assigned through delivery of personal development plan workshops, design of personal development plans along with people leaders considering stretch assignments, job rotations, leadership opportunities, etc.
- Identify skills gaps within the assigned functions and provides training options or other solutions to the table. This role may be involved in delivery of training presentations
- Executes a career development process and provides ongoing coaching to people leaders ensuring robust discussions with employees are held with delivery of achievable Personal Development Plans
- Maximizes employee performance through the delivery of a holistic performance management program. Provides appropriate coaching to people leaders in delivery of effective performance management conversations including goal setting, midyear and year end reviews. Participates in calibration sessions as required.
- Support people leaders and employees through performance improvement plans, coaching both sides to successful outcomes
- Manages conflict and employee relations issues working effectively with all parties to achieve resolution; Working with people managers, Health and Safety and Total Rewards facilitate return to work and workplace accommodation initiatives aimed at bringing employees to full performance productivity
- Along with Regional P&C Manager, supports restructuring within assigned departments, managing communication requirements, legal and severance matters, employee transition support, etc., working to ensure employee dignity and value is maintained through process
- Implements change management plans and initiatives to communicate and facilitate change
- Works with business leaders and managers to facilitate change across the assigned departments utilizing organizational change methodologies and tools. Provides support to business leaders in executing on change management plans including robust communication, educational programs to enable change, leveraging change champions, embedding new practices and process changes, and ensuring the organizational structure is fit for purpose and staffed appropriately

**Models the HPS Brand and Culture across HPS**
- Be a role model for HPS’s mission, vision, principles in all employee matters; ensuring consistency of principle-based behaviours within the organization
- Facilitates the execution and delivery of competitive and fair compensation; along with Total Rewards, supports market reviews, and other salary planning discussions with people managers
- Delivers total rewards and recognition practices within the assigned functions ensuring managers and employees are embracing recognition principles and programs
- Facilitates an engagement survey and co-creates action planning and outcomes

**People & Culture Functional Initiatives**
- Implements new program initiatives; ensuring consistent core messaging and process across the business.
- Leverages existing e-people tools and other technology where available.
- Continuously strives to develop and execute process improvements across the People & culture function.
