Markham, Canada Inspiration Learning Center Full time

Inspiration Learning Center (**Markham**) is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable **Math and Science**Teacher

You will be teaching **Math and** **Science**in private and/or small group settings at our tutoring center in **Markham**. We provide some lesson plans and teaching materials, although teachers should be prepared to adjust according to the student's particular skillset.

**Skills and qualifications**:

- Bachelor's a related area of study, and/or experience working in a related field
- Experienced in teaching high school and elementary school courses
- Knowledge of the Ontario curriculum
- Excellent writing skills to effectively teach grammar/punctuation rules and all steps of the writing process
- Ability to develop learning plans based on student needs and feedback
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students
- effective interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication
- an ability to think creatively and quickly, able to adjust to the changing situation in a classroom
- strong organizational and time management skills

**Responsibilities**:

- Instruct students in one-on-one form or in a small, group-based environment
- deliver lessons in a creative manner
- Help students improve critical analysis and writing skills
- collect and mark homework

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Markham, ON L3R 8A9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching: 1 year (preferred)
- Tutoring: 1 year (required)
