This position will assist the Manager/Supervisor with month-end reporting, yearly and quarterly budgets, year-end audit processes, and daily reporting and internal controls. **CULTURE**: Precision Drilling promotes a strong safety culture through our "Target Zero" initiative, emphasizing employee well-being and environmental responsibility. With competitive benefits, a casual work environment, generous time-off policies, and a culture grounded in respect and integrity, we create a workplace where people feel empowered and valued. **DAY IN THE LIFE**: - Complete monthly account analysis (including Intercompany), prepare Rig Review statements, analyze business trends, and provide recommendations to support performance - Prepare and post advanced journal entries, accruals, and corrections; perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure accurate coding of revenue and costs - Prepare GST/PST returns, assist with year-end reporting for Tax, Audit, and Corporate Accounting, and ensure adherence to SOX and internal controls - Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and accounting process documentation - Work with Accounts Payable, Billing, Payroll, and other departments to ensure accuracy, provide reporting tools (Excel spreadsheets/graphs), and perform other tasks as assigned **WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**: - 3-5 years of accounting experience required and/or a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience required - Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills - Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment - Ability to work independently with minimum supervision - Organized with an ability to balance multiple projects in the face of competing priorities
