**Job Overview**
**Recruitment & Onboarding**
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for teachers and tutors (job posting, screening, interviewing, and reference checks).
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training for new hires.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of tutors, teaching schedules, and contracts.
**HR Administration**
- Prepare and update employment contracts, records, and payroll documents in compliance with Ontario labour regulations.
- Assist in managing payroll calculations (cutoff date, pay date, adjustments, and deductions).
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in all HR records and personnel files.
**Employee Relations & Communication**
- Serve as the main point of contact between the admin team and teachers for HR-related questions.
- Communicate company policies, updates, and procedures clearly to all staff.
- Support teacher engagement and retention through ongoing communication and feedback.
- Help resolve minor workplace issues professionally and escalate when needed.
**Performance & Policy Support**
- Assist in tracking attendance, punctuality, and contract compliance.
- Support performance evaluation processes and probationary reviews.
- Ensure company policies are consistently applied and updated in accordance with Employment Standards Act (ESA) and best practices.
**Administrative & Team Support**
- Support the Academic and Operations team in scheduling, documentation, and internal communications.
- Help organize team meetings, professional development sessions, and community events.
**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in **Human Resources, Business Administration, or Education**.
- Minimum **1-2 years of HR or administrative experience** (education or tutoring environment preferred).
- Strong knowledge of **Ontario employment standards** and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin or French proficiency is an asset.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; experience with HR systems or CRMs is an advantage.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $17.20-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 7 per week
