HARP Security is a full-service security provider for the **Halton Region**, offering our clients quality systems and matching services. HARP has been providing leading security for over 25 years, from our local monitoring centre, fleet of alarm response professionals and innovative Systems Integrators. At this time, we are expanding our Technical Department and looking for a quality minded **Security Systems Installer** to add to the team.

Opportunity

This role will require the ability to work in a team setting and individually, HARP is always innovating and providing our team members with solutions and aids to better the work environment. Creative ideas and new approaches to the work environment and servicing our clients is always open and encouraged. Being a local provider the relationships we build with our team members and clients is most important. In a field like security trust and communication is most crucial; we are looking for an individual that shares the same mindset.

**Responsibilities / Duties**
- Arrive on time, and ready to work
- Keep a professional appearance and work space and within company vehicles
- Run/Fish low voltage cabling in residential and commercial settings
- Complete clean and organized cable management and industry standard termination practices
- Service and complete maintenance on residential & commercial alarm systems, access control systems, and camera systems
- Install new alarm system, access control systems, and camera hardware
- Programming and setup of alarm systems, access control systems, and camera systems
- Complete work orders and job write ups
- Keep personal hardware inventory
- Conduct regular inspection calls and related paper work

**Work Conditions / Requirements**
- Regular hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm Mon
- Fri, additional hours or changes in regular hours may vary dependent on jobs scheduled in advance.
- Ability to work in hot or cold environments; technician can be inside or outside depending on job.
- Ability to work on ladders/platforms ranging in height from 4’ to 24’
- Ability to safely operate and work on lift platforms (scissor/boom lift)
- Ability to lift objects (50lbs)
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to provide PPE (personal protective equipment) such as safety glasses, hard hat, hearing protection, and protective footwear as required per job.
- Ability to provide personal hand tools

**Education / Experience /Qualifications**
- College Certificate/Diploma in Electronics Engineering or related field (preferred)
- CANASA Technician Certificate or Equivalent (preferred)
- Experience working with CCTV, Access Control, and Alarm system hardware/systems
- Networking and server/PC skills an asset but not required
- Working at Heights certificate [Required] (can be provided upon agreement of terms)
- Operator/Lift Ticket Fall Prevention [Required] (can be provided upon agreements of terms)
- Clean Criminal Record
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (abstract required upon hiring)

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
