Bookkeeper

We are expanding and looking to hire up to 6 team members this year to accommodate various financial administration services. Bookkeeping and administrative duties are required and not limited to the listed items.
The Role
- **Assist with full-cycle bookkeeping functions**:
- Preparing and maintaining financial records
- **Maintain, monitor and reconcile GL accounts**:
- Work with supervisors to identify, investigate, and resolve errors
- **Communicate with governments regarding information requests, assessments and installments**:
- Provide training for clients on best practices and applicable software package
- **Set up client files and assist with the completion of budgets and administrative planning**:
- Work collaboratively, develop and maintain relationships with clients and team members
- One or more years experience of full cycle bookkeeping
- **A certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is considered an asset**:
- Sage 300, Quickbooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online, and Simply Accounting Software used in our accounting firm.
- **Must have a working knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes ** Basic knowledge of corporate tax is preferred
- **Experience working with cloud and desktop accounting software is preferred**:
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills Please note this is a full-time Monday-Friday permanent role. Office hours are 6:30 am - 3:30 pm. Flexible start time.

Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 30 per week
**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
