Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre serves the community of Central Alberta. Our Operating Room consists of 9 OR theatres that specialize in General Surgery, Orthopedic - Trauma and Total Joints, Plastics, Gynecology, ENT, and Urology. Our multidisciplinary team includes Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Perioperative Registered Nurses, ORTs, Respiratory Therapists II, Anesthesia Assistants and support staff. As a Registered Therapist II in the operating room, you will be responsible for providing care in the intraoperative phase. You will be responsible for working closely with anesthesia. Strong communication and collaboration skills are important; problem-solving skills using critical thinking, time management and adaptability or imperative; leadership and conflict resolution skills are essential to this role

Description:
As an Anesthesia Assistant, you will work under the direction of licensed anesthesiologists (specialist physicians) and as part of the anesthesia care team to design and implement anesthesia care plans. You will use your knowledge, clinical inquiry, and assessment skills to guide complex clinical decisions in time-sensitive situations.

**Required Qualifications**:
Successful completion of an accredited post-graduate Anesthesia Assistant Program. Active registration with the applicable regulatory body. Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) membership with Certified Clinical Anesthesia Assistant (CCAA) designation.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Successful completion of an Anesthesia Assistant program.
