JOB SUMMARY:
To assist the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist in implementing the Rehabilitation program for residents of the Home. The position will promote the Mission of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate by supporting the care values regarding the provision of quality care, loving environment, Christian ideals and principles, respect for life and dignity of person, and preservation of our traditional ethnic customs.

QUALIFICATION:
1. South Tec Rehab Assistant Certificate or any other recognized educational institution.

2. Previous training and experience in Rehabilitation and/or Nursing preferred.

3. Ability to speak Ukrainian or Polish an asset.

4. Computer skills an asset.

5. Good mental and physical health, and good attendance to meet the requirements of the position

RESPONSIBLE TO: Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist or implement exercise programs as directed by the staff Physiotherapist and/or the Occupational Therapist.

2. Assist or implement walking programs as directed by the staff Physiotherapist.

3. Perform certain clerical duties, for example, filing, collection of statistical material for workload measurement and CQI indicators.

4. Maintain the order and cleanliness of the department and equipment.

5. Maintain adequate linen supplies and change linen as necessary.

6. Measure for and supply walking appliances as directed by the Therapist.

7. Keep an inventory of all equipment.

8. Attend staff departmental meetings and in-services as requested or required.

9. Maintain good communications with all disciplines.

10. Enhances client safety in an effort to minimize safety risks.

11. Adherence to all safety and health regulations and safe work practices.

12. Performs any other duties as requested by the Physiotherapist and/or the Occupational Therapist.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.44-$22.91 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
