**FULFILLMENT ASSOCIATE**:
**Job Summary**:
The Fulfillment Associate is responsible for moving, picking, and packing stock for order fulfillment and stock replenishment, participating in basic inventory control processes, and organizing and cleaning the warehouse/stockroom. The Fulfillment Associate is an entry-level, closely supervised, and physically demanding position.
**Organizational Status**:
The Fulfillment Associate reports to the Fulfillment and Operations Manager and Fulfillment Team Lead and collaborates with Fulfillment Specialists and other personnel.
**Hours**:
Full time or part time, variable, shift work
As negotiated and required by the Company
**Work Environment**:
- Indoors/outdoors
- Warehouse and retail store environment _(worksite dependent)_
- Standing, walking, climbing stairs, crouching/kneeling/bending/reaching/ pushing/pulling/grasping/lifting, manual dexterity to operate small hand and power tools and electronic devices, operating warehouse/stockroom equipment
- PPE: Steel-toe foot protection should be worn, gloves should be worn when handling boxes and equipment, eye protection should be worn during any sawing or drilling, hearing protection should be used if exposed to environments with noise in excess of 85 decibels, high-vis vest should be worn when exposed to any motorized vehicle or machine (Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Code)
**Work Performed**:
- Learning and using cloud-based WMS, hand scanners, and other technology (software and hardware) for order fulfillment and inventory control processes
- Performing the first check in most order fulfillment processes (the ‘pick’ of pick-pack-ship)
- Picking, verifying, packing, labeling, and staging product for all order fulfillment channels (backorders, e-commerce, retail, customer pickup, direct distribution, third party shipping, equipment trial, and other) and location and branch transfers
- Moving, replenishing, organizing, facing, and rotating stock in all fulfillment locations (warehouse/stockroom, retail floor, and other), and helping any customers encountered while performing these duties
- Collaborating with personnel in all departments and alternate locations to maintain the highest level of operational excellence and provide a superior customer experience
- Building customer loyalty by personally providing exemplary customer service during each customer interaction
- Assisting customers and non-warehouse/stockroom personnel in obtaining warehouse/stockroom stock
- Electronically and physically counting, transferring, and putting away stock
- Packing, labeling, and shelving overstock
- Performing physical inventory checks
- Checking expiry dates and pulling expired product for shrinkage or return to vendor
- Assembling small healthcare equipment using basic hand tools and learning to assemble large healthcare equipment using small hand and power tools
- Using a manual saw to cut wooden canes, as required _(training dependent)_
- Cleaning and removing any personal information from trial equipment, as directed
- Cleaning, organizing, and pulling damaged/malfunctioning rental equipment
- Immediately reporting and documenting all Accidents, Incidents, & Near Misses involving people, property, and product to Management and the Joint Health & Safety Committee
- Contributing to personal and work environment safety by maintaining warehouse/stockroom cleanliness, keeping aisles and exits clear, identifying safety hazards to the Fulfillment/Operations Manager and Joint Health & Safety Committee and/or Health & Safety Representative, and complying with the Company’s Occupational Health & Safety and other Policies & Procedures
- Enforcing worksite compliance with the Company’s Occupational Health & Safety and other Policies & Procedures; this includes compliance of all Company and third-party personnel, customers and non-customers, and any site visitors working in or passing through the warehouse/stockroom
- Safely lifting up to 50 lbs independently, heavier with appropriate assistance
- Safely pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs on a cart
- Safely operating warehouse/stockroom equipment, including but not limited to: pallet jack, rolling ladder, and lift truck (sit-down and stand-up) _(worksite dependent)_
- Additional duties as assigned by Management
**Qualifications**:
- Highschool diploma preferred
- Valid forklift (sit-down and stand-up) certificate preferred
- Ability to work well in a team, work efficiently, and follow direction
- Ability to safely meet the physical requirements of the job
- Good customer service skills
- Good organization skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technology
- Basic working knowledge of small hand and power tools
**Compensation**:
