**Job Overview**
Wilderness Union is hiring two freelance Class  F (or higher) passenger‑van drivers to transport explorers from Toronto to various locations across Ontario. You’ll operate our 12 to 24 seat shuttles, run pre‑trip safety checks, and transport small groups to our day hike and camping locations. Shifts are usually on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. Driver schedules are posted in advance for you to accept based on your availability.

**About Wilderness Union**

Wilderness Union is Toronto’s largest outdoor adventure community. We make it easy for city dwellers to explore Ontario’s wild places by supplying transport, gear, and a friendly crew of members who turn into long‑term friends. Each week we run day hikes, camping weekends, paddling trips, and other outings. Your role is to get the group there and back safely so the adventure can run smoothly.

**What you’ll do**:

- Drive a 12 to 24 seat passenger van on day trips across Ontario
- Perform and log pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle safety inspections
- Support Wilderness Union staff in keeping the vehicle clean (internally/externally) and fuelled at all times
- Follow planned routes, manage pick‑ups and drop offs at established meeting point, and keep to schedule
- Help load and unload gear, assist participants with safe boarding and seat‑belt use
- Maintain a calm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere
- Complete logbooks and fuel/expense records

**Position Requirements**:

- Valid Ontario Class F licence (or higher)
- Clean CVOR abstract
- Excellent communication (in English) and customer‑service mindset—our members are guests, not charter clients
- Legal right to work in Canada

**Nice to haves**:

- Experience driving groups (tour, camp, school, or corporate)
- Mechanic experience
- Interest in outdoor recreation—you’re welcome to join activities when off‑duty if space allows

**Schedule and Pay**:

- Trips run mainly on weekends and occasional weekdays
- Typical day‑trip shift: 8-13  hours
- Pay range: $20 - $25 per hour
