Manager, Credit Funding

**Manager, Credit Funding (Permanent, Full-time)**

**Location**:Peterborough, ON

**Work Arrangement**: Hybrid; Combination on-site & remote

**Hours**:40 hours per week; Monday to Friday

**Rate of Pay**:Dependent on experience

**As the Manager, Credit Funding you will**:

- Implement and maintain internal controls and standards to minimize risk in the commercial portfolio. Ensure that controls and standards are properly applied and advise on early warning signals and out of compliance issues for review and action by the Lender or Vice President, Credit.
- Ensure that the quality of the commercial portfolio is maintained at an acceptable level through effective monitoring and appropriate escalation. Identify deteriorating risk situations and escalate to the Lenders, Manager, Commercial Credit (or designate) and Vice President, Credit for further attention and regularization.
- Protect the Credit Union’s assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio by ensuring adherence to all policies, regulatory, ethical and process requirements, and risk guidelines. Ensure the commercial loan portfolio conforms with corporate policies.
- Manage risk and minimize losses through monitoring and control reports, ensuring compliance requirements, audits and verifications are completed in accordance with Credit Union policy and procedures and regulatory, legal and ethical requirements.
- Oversee the custody of collateral security, including preparation, registration and validation of security documentation as per the terms and conditions of the authorized credit and confirm that all security documentation is held and current as part of the scheduled review process.- Oversee the registration and control of PPSA registrations.
- Oversee the mortgage renewal process.- Oversee the annual review process through development, implementation and ongoing review of a process to ensure all relevant information is received in a timely manner to assist the Lenders in completing all assigned scheduled loan reviews in accordance with commercial loan policies and procedures, with regular reports to the Vice President, Credit.- Ensure appropriate controls and audits are in place for loan/mortgage set up and disbursement including segregation of duties and receipt of final reports.
- Monitor the work of the Credit Funding Associates to ensure quality member service and adequate credit quality of the commercial credit portfolio by adherence to corporate policy and procedures, the validity of loan and security documentation and registrations and/or maintenance of loan documents and member loan files.
- Responsible for all duties of staff management of the Credit Funding Associate team.

**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education with emphasis in business administration, or appropriate combination of business and lending courses- Five to seven years of commercial and consumer credit experience
- Five to seven years of administrative experience
- Supervisory experience would be an asset
- Expert and up to date knowledge of commercial and credit products and services, policies, procedures and standards, credit granting criteria and security registration systems.
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent conflict resolution, problem solving and decision-making skills
