_**CONSTRUCTION LABOURER **_

**General Responsibilities**:

- Clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment
- Conduct daily equipment inspections reports on equipment before use. Report any repair issues or equipment hazards immediately
- Helps with drills, plows and drops
- Set Handholes and fill locate holes.
- Hook up fiber and conduit. Lash, Tag and mark fiber
- Willing to learn specialty equipment and Secure special attachments to equipment
- Assist with general labor duties when needed, to complete fibre optic construction projects
- Transport materials to and from the jobsite, including loading and unloading
- Using proper tie-down procedures, secure materials to be transported to ensure the safety and security of the load
- Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and in compliance with company PPE standards
- Complete all required accurate paperwork on a daily basis, including daily site meeting, drivers logs, equipment daily inspection forms, attendance tracking.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Excellent communication skill both verbal and written
- Experience with heavy equipment for underground construction (Backhoes, excavators, cat dozer directional drills, hydrovac, semi/trailers, dump trailer) would be considered an asset but willing to train suitable applicants
- Must have valid Class 5 license (Class 1 or 3 considered an asset)
- Experience with utility locates and working around existing utilities
- Must be currently authorized to work in Canada

**Job Details**:

- Mon - Fri (Summer) & Mon -Thu (Winter)
- Benefits package
- $24-$28/hr depending on experience
- Boot and coverall allowance

**Salary**: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
