As part of the Vacutrux Team this individual will work within the Paint department completing vital prep tasks. This will include prep work completed both in and outside of the Blast Booth.
- Set up, operate and maintain grit-blasting equipment
- Complete material reclaim process in an efficient manner
- Clean and maintain equipment and make minor repairs and adjustments
- Properly prepare parts for blast operation according to work instructions
- Properly prepare surfaces before painting; prep, sand, clean and mask large steel vessel tanks, trailers, truck frames, parts and fabrications as part of our finishing team
- Sand surfaces using sandpaper, grinders, and other tools to create a smooth surface for painting
- Ensure proper paint adhesion can take place by removing dirt, debris and imperfections from the surfaces.
- Collaborate with the painters to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality work
- Operate forklift and other material handling equipment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in grit-blasting steel/metal products
- Comfortable wearing blasting suit and helmet for long periods of time

Schedule:
Monday to Thursday 7am-4:30pm, Friday 7am-3pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
