Server Assistant/food Runner

**DaNico Restaurant is currently seeking for passionate and experienced server assistant and food runner to join our team for the upcoming opening.**

Hospitality icon Nick Di Donato of the Liberty Entertainment Group has partnered with world renowned Michelin Star Chef Daniele Corona to open the first DaNico restaurant location in downtown Toronto. Our mission is to deliver excellent Italian inspired food and impeccable hospitality, creating a unique experience for our guests. Through our culture of developing people talent, we are committed to the continuous learning and growth for our team.

**What we are looking for**:
Qualifications:

- Must be at least 18 years old
- Excellent communication skills
- Available to work on weekends and evenings
- Must be able to legally work in Canada

**Duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Cleaning and detailing dining room set up before service
- Stock, iron and fold linen for service for both dining room and kitchen
- Ensure we have everything needed stocked up for a flawless service
- Assist waiters in their assigned section
- Set table with correct cutlery and glassware
- Clear and reset tables
- Run food and drinks
- Assist with coffee and tea offering
- Polish glass and cutlery as needed
- Maintain excellent menu knowledge, being able to describe all items on the menu
- Display knowledge, confidence and professionalism at all times
- Maintain high levels of communication
- Remove garbage and recycling
- Keep a clean and tidy space at all times
- Follow closing duties list after service ensuring everything is clean and help other support staff with their duties as needed

Compensation: hourly + tips

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $15.50-$16.55 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Discounted or free food

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M5T 1T3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Restaurant: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (preferred)
