Our team is growing and we are looking for a talented baker & prep cook for a part-time role supporting our kitchen team. This is an opportunity to work with a team in an inclusive, fun and positive environment.

A new restaurant to Edmonton, Darling focuses on local ingredient-driven, globally inspired sharing plate dishes.

The baker is expected to support the head chef and sous chef in executing Darling’s menu and cleanliness of the kitchen. This will entail baking, prepping, plating and cleaning.
- Preparing and executing all baked items within a timely matter.
- Coordinating baking times in the oven with other prep items.
- Ensuring that all food and product is consistently prepared and served as per the restaurant recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
- Prepare a prep list
- Maintaining high morale, responding to conflicts calmly and efficiently
- Provide support to coworkers with various tasks including cooking, preparation and plating when time permits.
- Maintain holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation, and guarantee food service sanitation standards are met.
- Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines.
- Assist head chef and sous chef by making specials or staff meals when time permits.
- Receiving orders and products, ensuring to check quantity and quality.
- Helping with cleaning tasks on a daily basis of all kitchen areas.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
