**Job Summary**

As a Security Guard, you are responsible for patrolling all resort areas—including staff accommodations, guest spaces, and venues like Molly Hogan’s Bar & Grill—to ensure a safe, welcoming, and orderly environment for both guests and staff. This is a front-line, guest-facing position requiring strong communication, vigilance, and the ability to respond calmly and professionally to evolving situations. - ** Skill Level**: Entry Level to Intermediate
- ** Reports To**: Outside Operations Manager

**Responsibilities**:

- Patrol resort grounds, including guest areas, buildings, and staff accommodations, especially during non-operational hours including overnight shifts.
- Maintain a visible, professional presence throughout the resort, including Molly Hogan’s Bar & Grill
- Monitor for and report signs of intrusion, theft, or suspicious activity
- Secure resort assets by checking doors, windows, and gates regularly
- Address and document any guest or staff infractions, using appropriate intervention techniques
- Respond to security incidents with professionalism and tact
- Conduct hourly check-ins with overnight grooming staff and log all interactions
- Perform snow removal duties around lodge entrances and decks, as needed
- Maintain order during high-traffic times and special events
- Monitor staff accommodations to ensure policy compliance and respectful use
- Communicate using proper radio protocols and follow all resort emergency procedures
- Maintain accurate, timely security logs and incident reports
- Present a polished, approachable, and calm demeanor at all times
- Support other departments with security-related needs and special requests
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Job Requirements**
- Minimum 1 year of prior security experience required
- Formal security training or certification preferred
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required with clean abstract (provided annually) and minimum 10 years driving experience
- Previous experience in customer service or guest-facing roles is an asset
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and problem-solving skills
- Physically capable of walking, standing, and working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Must be adaptable, calm under pressure, and have excellent time management
- Willing to assist with cross-department support including snow removal duties
