**Transportation Driver -**

**South Timiskaming area**

Timiskaming Home Support is a district-wide agency that provides services to the elderly and people with physical disabilities, enabling them to remain at home. We are currently looking for a Transportation Driver to drive clients in our company vehicles to appointments locally and out of town.

**Qualifications and Working Conditions**:

- Possess a clean G class licence without penalties
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Current vulnerable sector check and Driver's Abstract is required
- Previous experience working with the elderly and/or the disabled is an asset
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform the physical aspects of the job
- French language skills are an asset

**Work Performed**:

- Transport clients to various locations and outlying communities. Both local and out of town travel is required.
- Operate a vehicle with ramp and/or lift.
- Securing passengers using vehicle Q-Straints and tie downs.
- Maintain a daily safety check of the vehicle.
- Greet and assist clients on and off the vehicle.
- Daily cleaning of the vehicle.
- Maintain a daily log.
- Availability required Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $18.85 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
