**The Opportunity**
We are currently seeking an **IT Business Partner **to join our **Technology **team in **Sudbury **. This is a **permanent **position.
The IT Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor and primary IT point of contact for the business leadership. They undertake a lead role in the promotion of IT services and capabilities and actively capture the ‘Voice of the customer’ to ensure that the IT team is delivering technology products that meet the needs of the business both today and tomorrow. The Business Partner has the end-to-end responsibility to ensure fit for purpose consulting, planning, project implementation, benefits realization, service delivery and IT governance.
Additionally, in this position you will:
- Identify business problems and opportunities that can be addressed utilizing technology and digital products that meet the design principles, across the end-to-end business process.
- Develop and manage relations with key stakeholders of the business at multiple levels in the organization
- Act as liaison between IT and the business to facilitate effective cross boundary communication
- Coordinate portfolio of initiatives that will have high impact to operations, considering the changes arising from the adoption of new processes and enabling technologies.
- Understand the workings of the business unit and its objectives and provide the appropriate balance between the use of both local and enterprise solutions.
- Establish stakeholder network and ensure regular communication and collaboration between business and IT.
- Communicate and discuss monthly IT performance metrics and KPI dashboards
- Contribute to and coordinate the development of the IT strategy in conjunction with the Leadership Team that will enable achievement of new level of productivity and integration, accelerating the safety, productivity, and financial gains
- Ensure IT projects meet the requirements of the business by remaining engaged in the delivery process from conception through to benefits realization
- Help the business to identify benefits arising from continued IT investment and provide information to validate business value.
- Work collaboratively with service managers to develop clear and concise communications with respects to incidents, problems, and change management as needed
- Promote and monitor compliance with Company-wide and local IT policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure information systems security and architectural standards are met in business solutions and monitor compliance during all stages.
**About You**
Education**:
- An Undergraduate Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering or Business
**Experience**:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT, Automation, Consulting or Mining industries
- Previous experience in the areas of project management, client relationship management and technical ITOT services delivery considered an asset
**Skills**:
- Customer focused - ability to understand needs and impacts from a client perspective
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to manage through influence
- Strong high-level knowledge of IT industry principles, processes, and solutions.
- Organized, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong and proven collaboration and project management skills
- Process-oriented and strong problem-solving/analytical skills
