Copper Island Care provides staffing services to facilities in the Greater Shuswap area. We are seeking individuals who are seeking on call or contract work for various shifts. 8 and 12 hour shift rotations. (days/afternoons/evenings/nights) **Requirements**: - BC HCA Registration in Good Standing - A proven track record of reliability - Flexible "can do" attitude - Meet provincial HCA vaccination requirements **Duties**: - Provide personal care and assistance to elderly or disabled individuals in an assisted living - facility. - Assist with mobility and transfers in a two person safe environment. - Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cooking, laundry and tidying up. **Skills**: - Compassionate and caring attitude towards elderly or disabled individuals. - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals. - Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately. - Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. - A proven track record of reliability **Experience**: - Previous experience in senior care or related fields is preferred. - Familiarity with nursing home or assisted living facility procedures is a plus. - Knowledge of home care practices and techniques is beneficial. - Experience in medication administration is desired, but training can be provided - Experience in providing dementia care is a plus.
