Salmon Arm, Canada Copper Island Care Inc. Full time

Copper Island Care provides staffing services to facilities in the Greater Shuswap area. We are seeking individuals who are seeking on call or contract work for various shifts. 8 and 12 hour shift rotations. (days/afternoons/evenings/nights)

**Requirements**:

- BC HCA Registration in Good Standing
- A proven track record of reliability
- Flexible "can do" attitude
- Meet provincial HCA vaccination requirements

**Duties**:

- Provide personal care and assistance to elderly or disabled individuals in an assisted living - facility.
- Assist with mobility and transfers in a two person safe environment.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cooking, laundry and tidying up.

**Skills**:

- Compassionate and caring attitude towards elderly or disabled individuals.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A proven track record of reliability

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in senior care or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with nursing home or assisted living facility procedures is a plus.
- Knowledge of home care practices and techniques is beneficial.
- Experience in medication administration is desired, but training can be provided
- Experience in providing dementia care is a plus.

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Casual
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
