**Welcome to Nightwind Treatment Centre**
Nightwind Treatment Centre (NWTC) serves youth ages 12 to 22. We offer several trauma-informed programs to support youth who are experiencing challenges. Through daily living, recreational activities and individual and group counselling, we believe youth can acquire the skills necessary to move on and contribute productively to society. We work with each youth, their caseworker and their family (when appropriate) to develop a plan which will aid them in achieving their individual goals and planning for their future.

9-bed, Rural Treatment Program for young women ages 12-18
Treatment program supporting abuse history, substance abuse, conflict
Trauma-informed care integrated into the program
Indigenous cultural teachings and experiences as the treatment foundation aligned with the medicine wheel and seven sacred teachings.
**Grandmother Turtle House, Westlock**
4-bed, Small Town TSIL Program for young women ages 15-22
Transition to a Semi-Independent Living program
Trauma-informed care integrated into the program
Focus on daily living skills, school success, employment and transitioning to independence.
**Stony Creek, Tawatinaw Valley**
7-bed, Rural Co-Ed Treatment Program for youth ages 12-18
Treatment program supporting abuse history, substance abuse, conflict
Trauma-informed care integrated into the program
Healing and skill-building through agricultural programming.
**Job Purpose**
The Team Leader oversees onsite program operations by maintaining an effective treatment milieu and safe environment for our person-served.

- Champion a trauma-informed approach by reinforcing for all staff the importance of healthy relationships and the effective prevention and resolution of conflict.

- Establish and maintain a culture of learning, professional growth, trauma-informed practice, cultural relevance and overall focus on healing and treatment for persons-served
**Administration**
- Adherence to the high standards of accreditation expected of a high-quality treatment facility and ensuring positive relationships with all licensing bodies
- Provide administration to the program in the following areas:
- Assist staff to ensure that policies and procedures are followed
- Participate in Service Team meetings
- Lead staff meetings for the general staffing team
- Review and assess all referral packages and liaise with the Service Team regarding potential approvals for intake
- Ensure all youth are participating in the treatment program
- Coordinate client intake and transition in and out of NWTC programs
- Led and supported the service team to deliver high-quality services
- Ensure all case conferences are completed successfully and promptly
- Ensure all Client Progress Reports are completed and shared with stakeholders
**Human Resources**
- Use effective conflict prevention and resolution procedures
- Support the Service Team to recruit and retain highly qualified staff who move forward the mission of NWTC
- Supervise onsite staff in the program
- Exercise effective human resources processes
- Support grievances, staff discipline and investigations as necessary
- Ensure an effective system is in place for training and developing staff and their skills
- Supervise and promote best practices within the staffing team
**Finance**
- Follow NWTC Policies and Procedures and supervisor direction regarding expenses and reporting of expenses, including floats and managing receipts.
- Follow and monitor the annual budget approved by the Service Team
- Promote effective cost-saving measures to maintain high-quality care and remain fiscally responsible
**Quality Improvement**
- Implement priority items in the Strategic Plan.
- Ensure practical quality improvement activities are part of the culture of the organization.
**Risk Management & Safety**
- Ensure all staff follows Risk Management Plan to prevent and effectively respond to organizational risks.
- Compliance with all safety procedures, including the Emergency Response Plan
- Ensure critical incidents are completed, tracked and reported.
**Communications**
- Promote positivity and hopefulness with persons served, colleagues, stakeholders and members of the public.
- Exercise appropriate activities for promoting NWTC programs and services
- Liaise with stakeholders to promote confidence in the excellent services provided by NWTC. Develop effective relationships with stakeholders and create marketing activities which enhance the excellent reputation of NWTC
- Implement effective internal communication processes
- Maintain confidentiality and abide by the Oath of Confidentiality, NWTC Code of Conduct and the Child and Youth Care Association Ethical guidelines

- Report regularly to the ED on the successes and challenges of the program
