**Part Time Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist** to join our Urgent Primary Care Centre team located in Surrey, B.C. The Centre provides urgent care to clients and longitudinal primary care to unattached vulnerable clients in the assigned area and also provides ease of access to timely, person-centred, continuous and culturally safe quality health services.

- Provide administrative day-to-day support to the Urgent Primary Care Centre as the first point of contact with clients and their families.
- Provide a key role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all individuals through a positive, customer-service oriented and client-focussed approach.
- Perform duties of front desk reception by interacting directly with clients who have highly complex medical and social needs, registering new clients and booking appointments and referrals, establishing and maintaining charts and chart organization including requests,
- Maintain database(s) and electronic client case load while typing material utilizing word processing software, setting up and maintaining filing systems, processing incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, reports/records and internal and courier documents.
- Arrange meetings/special functions, and operate office equipment as required.
- As a member of an interdisciplinary team, ensure clients and their family members are supported in navigating the health care system.
**Your qualifications include**:
- Grade 12 and completion of a Medical Office Assistant diploma
- One (1) year of recent, related office/clerical experience
- Ability to type 40 WPM
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
