Renovation Specialist
The Renovation Specialist is responsible to complete various tasks as assigned by the Property Manager. Tasks will include, but is not limited to, floor installation, tile and grout, carpentry, and ad hoc maintenance within the scope of company work orders in a residential apartment setting within the InterRent Southwestern Ontario’s Portfolio. The location of work will depend on the Capital Project schedule with the GTA, Hamilton, Niagara, and London area.

**Responsibilities will include, at a minimum**:

- Demolish, remove, install, and repair different types of flooring in common areas and suites including, but not limited to; luxury vinyl plank, floor and wall tiles, complete tub surrounds and tubs, baseboards and trim;
- Subfloor preparation and repair, and caulk and grout installation and repair work as required;
- Assess flooring conditions in suites and common areas, identifying necessary repairs or replacements and quantities required;
- Maintain inventory of all materials in stock rooms and ordering of required materials;
- Collaborate with the Property Management Team to maintain inventory records, Purchase Orders and Invoices, and scheduling flooring projects efficiently;
- Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to ensure precise installation and finishing of flooring materials;
- Provide expertise and guidance on flooring repair maintenance options to Property Managers
- Performing basic building maintenance duties required on occasion as per the direction of the property manager;
- All other duties as required:
**Must Haves**:

- 5-7 years of residential property renovation experience
- Must have own vehicle with a clean driver’s abstract and able to commute to different locations throughout the GTA, Hamilton, and Niagara
- Must have own tools necessary to complete all basic flooring tasks (not including larger equipment provided by the Employer);
- Must be able to participate in an after-hours rotational emergency response team as required;
- Lift up to 30lbs
