With a staff of 14,000, the TCDSB is a dynamic school board and is seeking a Plumber within the **ESS**Operation**s**& Maintenance** East/West**department.

**PLEASE NOTE**:

- Hours of work will fall within the evening shift band and may change consistent with the collective agreement. Hours to be confirmed upon hire.
- Flexible home base, to be determined by management, based on system needs.**KEY**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor in their assigned region
- Responsible for an established preventative maintenance routine
- Timely response to emergency needs and repairs to all plumbing systems within the region
- Responsible for safe operation and safekeeping of tools supplied by the Board, safe operation and maintenance of company vehicle, while in use
- Maintain accurate records (e.g., vehicle maintenance, work orders, timesheets etc)
- Perform other job related duties as required
- The use of proper safety protective equipment is required at all times

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must have a valid current Plumbing License from Skilled Trades Ontario
- Backflow Prevention Certification or in progress (Cross Connection Control Specialist)
- Minimum of five years (5) practical experience in construction, maintenance, or service industry
- Must be proficient in the English language in order to comprehend manuals and maintain work records
- Demonstrable knowledge of building plumbing systems
- Ability to function without close supervision
