**Job Description**:
We are looking for a **_Manager, Planning and Demand Management _**_within the _**_Technology Risk and Security_**_ division._
The Manager, Planning & Demand Management reports to the AVP, Program Management & Governance (PM&G), and is responsible for developing and managing collaborative work processes and tools for the governance of work demand and intake management, resource capacity / demand management and operational performance measurement and reporting.
**What you will do**
Key responsibilities in this role include establishing and maintaining a core set of services specific to:
**Intake Management, Prioritization and Planning**
- Establish and mature the capability for cross-portfolio work intake management including development, health and maintenance work.
- Develop and implement a governance framework in alignment with Office of the CIO (OCIO) for the prioritization of work items
- Manage and oversee the ongoing intake, triage, prioritization, and assignment of new work activities
- Support technology and delivery leaders in the development and maintenance of delivery plans
**Workforce Management / Ways of Working**
- Establish and sustain a comprehensive resource/workforce management process, leveraging central OCIO standards and tooling, to manage operational and delivery capacity and demand within the business unit including:
- Establishing and maintaining a database of named resources and work assignments
- Creating resource capacity / demand reports or dashboards specific to business unit needs
- Ensuring data integrity and overall data quality and completeness of resource management data that feeds central technology analytics and capacity planning
- Providing awareness, communication and training to leaders and practitioners
- Implementing and maintaining work management standards within existing tools (e.g. JIRA boards)
- Support the shift to agile ways of working where applicable as part of ongoing active work management
**Operational and Performance Reporting**
- Establish and mature dynamic reporting capabilities that support operational performance metrics for the business unit including:
- key technology risk, security and compliance metrics including performance indicators and benefits realization tracking for risk control performance and audit gaps
- Operational and delivery capacity, demand forecasts and time tracking analysis based on work management functions
- Operational and delivery metrics related to new ways of working
- Operational and delivery performance metrics such as rate of work completion, overall delivery performance and health metrics, and delivery compliance
- Benefits measurement and tracking of actual business value delivered vs planned
- Establish the capability to develop, administer and provide ongoing support and maintenance for dashboarding and reporting using technologies like PowerBI
- Establish the capability to administer and manage information and content required to support the Program Management & Governance functions using technologies including Sharepoint, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams channels
**Financial Management / Technology Business Management / Cost Optimization**
- Develop and lead a cost optimization program that is business-unit focused, drives discipline in service cost efficiencies, identifies and tracks cost reductions.
- Leverages the Technology Business Management (TBM) taxonomy and framework to drive total cost of ownership discussions, reinvestment opportunities and partners with OCIO on chargeback model enhancements.
- Acts as TBM and Apptio practice lead for the business-unit, in partnership with OCIO and Global Finance.
- Supports business-unit financial management practices, reporting and analysis.
**What you will bring**
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership position
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, Economics or equivalent experience
- Foundational knowledge and 5 - 10 years of progressive experience in two or more of the following disciplines:
- Project Portfolio Management, including experience with
- enterprise class project portfolio management tools
- project portfolio management lifecycle including project intake, selection, prioritization, stage gating, execution and closeout
- Resource Management with a focus on workforce capacity and demand management including tools and processes required to optimize work intake, assignment and monitoring of work products and business outcomes
- Data Analysis and Reporting including experience with database design, data stewardship and reporting tools such as PowerBI
- Technology Business Management including foundational understanding of corporate information technology economics and finance practices
- Agile delivery methods and practices including Scrum and Kanban
- Demonstrated capability to build and foster strong relationships through collaboration, influencing change, and build
