**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership and overseeing all aspects of production and customer operational needs with core WITRON values and health and safety.
**Primary Job Functions**:
**_Administrative_**
- Have oversight and accountability for all the production shifts of the 24/7 automated facility
- Generate, analyze, and provide feedback relating to a variety of production and KPI reports to ensure superior, data-driven operational output.
- Provide KPI statistics and trend analysis on a regular interval and to ensure that department performance is measurable and traceable.
- On an ongoing basis, work with the Site Manager to review operating procedures in order to achieve and maintain customer service levels.
- Ensure production teams are properly staffed and optimized.
- Drive departmental and team operational excellence through regular process reviews and real-time feedback based on measurable deliverables.
- Manage employee headcounts through effective workforce planning, drive responsible labour costs, and support results-driven team structure
- Maintain open, effective, and responsive communication with the customer on all aspect of operations directly impacting the customers expectations.
**_Operational _**
- Promote a “Safety First” mindset in all activities.
- Be available to respond to any operational needs for all shifts.
- Ensure adequate training and development of Shift Supervisors and overall knowledge level of the production teams.
- Be responsible for overall productivity, output and with related operational costs. Develop action plans as required to ensure continuous improvement.
- Organize, co-ordinate and supervise the work of the production team in accordance with company policies, laws and regulations.
- Provide leadership for your team by mentoring future leaders, promoting open communication between teams, coaching on process and procedural compliance, leading training & development initiatives, and promoting the company’s values.
- Be on call and respond efficiently to all conditions with the aim of minimizing machinery downtime and promoting urgency when dealing with situations involving system outages or system repairs.
- Action immediate resolutions to irregular operations through careful and impactful review of process deviations and implementation of innovative and effective solutions.
- Promote and ensure proper escalation protocols are utilized.
- Be a champion for organization, cleanliness and 5S implementation throughout the site.
**Qualifications**:
- Analytical nature and able to problem solve
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks and work load
- Practical attitude and ability to learn new skills and tasks
- Ability to implement systems and to lead by example
- Prior manufacturing startup experience an asset
- Customer-oriented communication and management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
**Knowledge/Experience Required**:
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory role
- Experience in both unionized and non-unionized environments
- Proven track record of team building
- Previous experience in warehouse, supply chain, grocery or retail industries
- Basic understanding of automated material handling systems
**Travel and Shifts**
- This role may require occasional domestic and/or international travel in order to undergoing relevant training, to attend internal and/or customer meetings, and/or to support other WITRON facilities as needed.
- Flexibility to work any shift as required by operational needs
- Ability to be on-call as needed to ensure operational integrity
**Pay Rate**:
- Salaried position
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $75,000.00-$101,450.97 per year
