Early Childhood Education is the foundation of learning for our youngest citizens. We are a large group of child care centres in British Columbia that offer programs for children ages infant to 12 years old. We follow curriculum-based programs exposing children to age-appropriate developmental practice. We have opened new centres this summer and are looking for educators to join our team.

We are looking for ECEA, ECE, ECEIT, and RA’s to join our new programs. Our centres have beautiful outdoor spaces and nearby parks where the children are able to explore nature and learn through play. Key responsibilities:

- Comply with all Early Childhood Registry Requirements for renewal or issuance of their Early Childhood Educator Certificate
- Have a working knowledge of Licensing regulations
- Work cooperatively, respectively
- Work with children, parents, staff, and volunteers on an individual and group basis
- Have a clear understanding of best practices relating to the development and care of children
- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
- Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity.
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members.
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor.
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.

Qualifications:
Basic ECE

Additional Qualifications:

- Time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask daily activities
- Committed to meeting deadlines and targets

Required Experience:

- Have current ECE License to Practice or be willing to obtain
- Obtain first aid certificate relevant to children
- Pass a criminal record check
