General Labourer

**LOCATION**: Hanmer, Ontario
**EMPLOYMENT TYPE**: Full Time

Beamish Construction is looking for hard-working, self-motivated employees with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of General Labourer in the Sudbury District. The General Labourer will require a high level of motivation, professionalism, and independence. This is a full-time seasonal position available with competitive wages and a benefits package.

**JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist equipment operators, and other skilled labour when necessary
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
- Operate and care for construction equipment and machines
- Load or unload construction materials
- Perform site clean-up
- Display professionalism toward our company and customers
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures: safety standards operations, maintenance, training, cleanliness standards, etc.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:

- Valid G Driver’s License
- A high school diploma or equivalent is considered an asset
- Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to use tools and equipment required to perform the work (e.g. hand and power tools, etc.)
- Ability to do physical labour and other strenuous physical tasks
- Ability to work long hours Including weekends at times
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willing to travel to job sites with occasional overnight stays when required
- Capable of all physical requirements including lifting (up to 50lb), bending, climbing, etc.
- Ability to work out of town
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
