Payroll Specialist - North America

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Payroll, the Payroll Specialist, North America will process payroll and prepare journal entries in Oracle Net Suite, supporting both Canada and the US and will be a vital part of the implementation of new Payroll and supporting Oracle HCM Systems. This role requires knowledge of ADP Workforce Now Payroll, Time & Attendance in Canada and in the US. Knowledge of processing RSU and Stock Compensation is considered an asset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review the payroll entries and ensure the RACI process is adhered to
- Maintains the files, and records in written and electronic formats for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
- Provides information and reports required for the Management Review.
- Resolve escalations for payroll issues and ensure timely remediation.
- Weekly hourly and salary payroll processing for over 800 employees
- Canada, multi-province and US, multi-state payroll processing
- Collaborate with HR and Benefits team to maintain alignment with pensions and Group benefits employee payroll records.
- Prepare T4s and W2s, and provide support for year-end audit by preparing working papers for payroll accounts.

Job Qualifications:

- Minimum 4 years’ experience processing high-volume payroll.
- Payroll Certification with National Payroll Institute (PCP)
- Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance diploma/degree is an asset.
- Experience with multi-province/state payroll required.
- Intermediate Excel with knowledge of vlookups and pivot table
- Experience with ADP WFN
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
