Labourer for Snow Clearing

Ken Jackson Construction Ltd. is currently looking to fill 1 position for the winter months as seasonal staff to aid with snow removal, shoveling, sand/salting.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Must be available at all times, respond promptly to calls for snow or ice, and be ready to work in snowy and cold conditions
- Must be physically able to shovel for extended hours and able to lift at least 30-40lbs.
- Position will have a route to be serviced however must be available on call as well for snow storms. If a storm is to occur you must be available in the area and accessible for service during the storm.
- Must have valid drivers license to get to the workplace
- Must be able to work alone as well as a team player which is critical in this position
- Experience with a snow blower and salt/deicer spreaders is an asset, as well as knowing the safety procedures related to winter equipment
- Prepare and show up for shifts free from influence of drugs & alcohol
- Clear snow and ice accumulations from customer sites from designated areas using shovels,snowblowers & salt spreaders
- Be available for communication at all times
- Be specific and organised to document & report specifics during shift
- Wear proper personal protective equipment and clothing for specific job
- Comply with all company policies & procedures
- Work in accordance with all local H&S policies, laws and regulations
