The role will implement and monitor the case files, and ensure employees are supported with responsive care systems that is evidence informed, in compliance with university policies, collective agreements and government legislation. The role will ensure appropriate resources and controls are in place to manage risks and make suggestions for the continual improvement of processes. The Consultant will also provide coaching and training to leaders, as well as comprehensive advice and support to client groups. The Consultant will employ a variety of case management strategies to assist their portfolio of employees and leaders to access resources in order to remain at work or to return to work in a timely manner. **Qualifications**: **Education**: - Undergraduate Degree with a major in Health Sciences or Science - Registered Occupational Therapist - Certification in Disability Management **Experience**: - 7 years’ experience managing individual cases supporting injured and ill workers or members of the general public Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - In-depth knowledge of clinical case management and college professional standards - In-depth knowledge of care for Personal Health Information Protection - Knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices, Employment Standards Act, and other relevant legislation - Ability to promote a culture of employee and workplace wellness through illness support, psychological health and safety implementation, employee and leader engagement - Familiarity with Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act regulations - Familiarity with the Ontario public health care system and services - Knowledge of project management tools and resources - Ability to mobilize others to support change through times of stress and uncertainty - Communication skills to actively listen and discern non-verbal communication cues - Communication skills to engage audiences, with confidence interacting with individuals at all levels of an organization - Ability to distill large amounts of data and translate complex information to a wide range of audiences - Competency to maintain confidentiality and treat sensitive information with discretion - Ability to make decisions and recommendations that are clearly linked to the organization's strategy and goals - Ability to promote individual growth by encouraging others to learn new skills and develop themselves - Capacity to manage resources, and resolve logístical issues efficiently - Ability to quickly re-allocate resources and adjust priorities in response to unexpected events or changing circumstances - Computer skills with the ability to adopt and promote automation and digitalization - Ability to clearly communicate the outcomes one is accountable for, including decision making authority and performance expectations - Results-oriented with an ability to handle many tasks and maintain a high level of individual and team performance **Background Checks**: Please note, successful applicants may be required to produce a current police information record check(s) from a police service prior to commencing employment. **Western Values Diversity**: Accommodations are available for applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
