IT Technician

Assist the Management team with IT risk management and business continuity procedures.
- Responsible for the day-to-day IT issues that arise from all levels of staff.
- Trouble shoot for all specialized equipment including PC, MAC, Tablets, smart phones, and network issues.- Disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Collect, organize, and maintain an IT problems and solutions log.- Assist management with the development and implementation of IT strategic and tactical planning.- Assist to develop and implement IT policies based on best practices.
- Work with staff and vendors to complete routine maintenance on the network servers, desktops, laptops, printers, smart phones and specialized equipment as required; ensuring continuous delivery of technical services; monitoring systems, programs, and equipment performance.
- Responsibilities in other areas or other duties on a when required basis.
- Document issues and solutions for end user training purposes.
- Work through user submitted support tickets
**Requirements**:

- Completion of College and/or University IT related program.- Knowledge of privacy and security processes and practices.
- Flexible to work on a wide variety of projects, tasks, and assignments
- Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure, tight deadlines
- Attention to detail responding easily to changing priorities.
- Service-oriented approach, focused on understanding and satisfaction of internal clients.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Microsoft Certification required or relevant experience.
- Experienced in technical training to end users.
- Basic familiarity with Linux an asset.
- Occasional heavy lifting
- Ability to work after-hours as needed (maintenance) and in emergency situations
- Working Windows environment experience
- Able to support/troubleshoot over phone and through remote tools.
- Routine travel required, Valid Ontario Driver's License.
- Valid passport an asset
