As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Dynamics is seeking an eager enthusiastic experienced **Production Operator - Fabrication (Tube Cell) **to join our successful Toronto team immediately. We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills in the manufacturing industry.

**SUMMARY**:
This position reports to the Supervisor of the department. The incumbent ensures both the correct setup and operation of their own equipment including the organization of tooling requirements to meet production demands within the Fabrication department.

This is a unionized position - Subject to assessment of skills and qualifications by Active following 60 working days.

The pay rate is $21.83

Shifts may vary

Shift Premium where applicable

We have 1 Night shift available (10:45 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.)

**ROLE**:

- Performs the setup and tear down of Fabrication equipment.
- Operates Fabrication equipment to meet production demands.
- Conducts required quality checks to ensure the product is in compliance and in the specification
- Notifies the Lead Hand and/or Supervisor(s) of product defects or other serious occurrences
- Documents and records all necessary information/data as per work cards and other company requirements
- Performs equipment operational checks and does basic troubleshooting
- Performs proper housekeeping, clean-up and 5 S requirements
- Performs all duties according to safety standards and company policies
- Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

**DESIRED SKILLS**:

- Good mathematical skills
- Manual dexterity - ability to use common tools
- Good interpersonal and communicative skills

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ability to meet prescribed production standards
- Experience & knowledge of Fabrication (Tube Cell) equipment
- 1+ year(s) of experience in the Fabrication (Tube Cell) department with a basic knowledge of hazards, equipment, machinery, and processes within the Fabrication area.
- Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy
- Written and oral aptitude in English
- Min. grade 12 or equivalent education
- Conscientious and punctual
- Willing to learn
