**Environment/Lab Description**

Dr. Yousef’s research laboratory is internationally recognized in miRNA research. It is one of the leading laboratories focusing on the cancer biomarkers in renal cell carcinoma and prostate cancer using an integrated genomic, quantitative proteomic, transcriptomic and miRNA approaches with extensive bioinformatics analysis. He has published extensively about the discovery of the kallikrein family of tumor markers and their roles as cancer biomarkers. Our research program is majorly focused on kidney cancer.

**Qualifications**
- Recently graduated from PhD program
- Record of publication(s) and manuscript(s) in preparation or completed.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, along with a high degree of independence and flexibility to thrive in a novel and rapidly evolving research environment.
- Ability to write scientific communications and present their work
- Excellent initiative and leadership qualities
- Ability to Work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to initiate a program of research excellence in their chosen field
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills
- Previous experience in omic technologies (such as RNAseq, proteomics, microRNA profiling) and/or preclinical drug development will be considered an asset.
