MOD Dancewear & Boutique is a small family-owned business promoting a healthy, active lifestyle so we can all perform at our best. We are looking for a temporary sales associate for our fall season could also be available for other "rush" periods through the year. Knowledge and experience in dance and/or the performing arts and a passion about supporting a healthy lifestyle are a benefit. This is a temporay/seasonal position and includes: - varied daily responsibilities and tasks - helping customers with their selection of dance, gymnastic and self-care related purchases - dealing with children in a busy environment - fitting various dance/gym shoes - keeping store and merchandise clean and organized - creatively displaying merchandise in an appealing way - completing sales using a POS system - stock taking, pricing, replenishment and updating inventory - packing and preparing online orders for shipping/pickup - assisting with social media posts and videos - standing, bending, reaching and lifting up to 30 lbs - be over 18 with minimum high school certification - be legally qualified to work in Canada - speak fluent English - comfortable engaging in conversation with customers - have excellent customer service and problem solving skills - be competent using the phone and technology - be respectful, reliable & a team player with a positive friendly attitude - be a self-starter who uses good judgment in all situations - have knowledge &/or experience in the dance &/or gymnastics industries - be available to work Saturdays and some flexible weekday hours through during seasonal rushes ( e.g. back to school Sept-Oct). - be excited to educate themselves about our brands & products - be willing to learn and try new things Paid training provided **Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary, Casual Part-time hours: 8 - 20 per week **Salary**: From $15.50 per hour **Benefits**: - On-site parking - Store discount Day range: - Monday to Friday - Weekends as needed Shift: - Day shift - Evening shift Work setting: - Apparel store COVID-19 considerations: Our store continues to follow government guidelines to ensure the health and wellness of our staff and customers.
