Machinist / Grinder

**NWI Precision** is investing in the growth of the Toronto Ontario machining site including the addition of skilled labour with experience in the manufacturing and machining of hard metal components used in the aerospace, nuclear and industrial sectors.

We currently have openings for experienced Grinding Machinists or Operators. Our priority is hiring for the Afternoon shift with a start time of 4:30pm. Working hours may be extended during demand periods to meet customer delivery dates. Team members are required to complete internal training during the first 3 months of employment on the day shift.

**Grinding Machinist Position Description**:
This position is responsible for efficient machining processes required to manufacture customer parts to drawings and specifications, adhering to customer prints and company routings.

**Grinder Qualifications include**:

- Five (5) years experience in Aerospace manufacturing preferred (internal, cylindrical spline and thread grinding)
- Working to tight tolerances
- Machining experience with high quality metals such as Inconel, Titanium, Aluminum, stainless steel
- Working knowledge and demonstrated accurate use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, depth micrometer
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certificate or Machinist knowledge in the areas of lathe, drilling, milling and/or manual machinist. Relevant years of experience is an asset
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English both written and spoken
- Must be able to interpret written work procedures
- Clear Background Records Check
- Meet the registration requirements of the Controlled Goods Program
- Able to work in Canada. Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident Status Required.
